A device that analyzes RS-232 signals and automatically determines:
- Baud Rate
- Data Bits
- Parity
- Stop Bits
- Straight Pin / Null Modem
- Hardware Handshaking
What is it?
Serial Analyzer is a hardware project that can help determine the serial configuration for any RS-232 device that can initiate conversation.
How does it work?
- Plug the serial cable into the DB9 port
- Initiate the scan
- Send a message from the RS-232 serial device
- The Serial Analyzer will show one or more possible configurations, listed in order of most likely to least likely
